COSA joined leading members of the chocolate industry as a founding member of the new Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa. The initiative, which includes Lindt & Sprüngli, Mondelēz, and Chocosuisse, envisions a more sustainable cocoa-based industry. We expect that COSA’s reputation for science-based, pragmatic monitoring and evaluation can serve the platform in its efforts to credibly measure its sustainability efforts and projects.

The initiative will publicly benchmark and report to the Sustainable Development Goals and develop knowledge across the platform and sector. The platform has the support of the Swiss Government (SECO) and aims to ensure that 80% of imported cocoa products are sustainably produced by 2050.
